I even tried with WinRAR 4.11 but the same happened. Already compressed it about 5 times, it takes about an hour each time because my laptop is 7 years old (Pentium M 2Ghz). After compression it goes down to 3,5GB, but CRC inside the RAR is always different and testing always fails.
Create 0,5% of PAR files just in case, I don't trust WinRAR recovery record.Īll was working fine and dandy, until I came across a 8GB ISO (dual layer). Check the ISO CRC inside RAR and test RAR Compress the ISO with WinRAR, highest compression, 1GB split I'm doing the same steps for all ISOs, using Windows XP and WinRAR 4.20:
I've been compressing some ISOs I have on my external HD to save some space.
